Hot Vs. Cold Anger

Hot Vs. Cold Anger

Hot Anger: when the emotion controls the person
Cold Anger: when the person controls the emotion

Anybody can react out of blind anger and rage; however, violence and passionate rage without organized thinking will get us nowhere. Riots have their place; however, people of color will continue to be suppressed if we represent ourselves like the animals our oppressors continue to see us as. That is what Martin Luther King Jr, Gandhi, and many more peace activists realized.

Many may say that peace does not always work; however, neither does angry actions without an organized and calculated plan going forward. The reason why oppressors have been able to continue to suppress us is because they have learned how to come back together, regroup, and come up with plans we cannot see through because we are too busy fighting each other and keeping our communities divided. However, once we recognize our power and our ability to do the same, they will not be able to keep this cycle of sneaky racism and horrifying brutality going. It all starts with us and it all ends with us; however, we have to change our own story for ourselves.

In conclusion, we have to learn how to control our anger in a way that will successfully make permanent differences. Anyone has the power to make change if they are willingly to work hard enough for it. Your path may be straight forward or it may change along the way when you recognize better ways for you to reach your goal. However, we have to start uniting, regrouping, and organizing strategies that allow us to create change using our brains. This includes programs that helps us become aware of our rights, silent protests that speak louder than our words, events such as taking a knee in public places as a statement, videos on social media that brings awareness to our cause through art, song, dance, etc. Everyone has a role they can play no matter your age, gender, or status. You just have to be willingly to find it and fight for what you believe in with a controlled passion.
